Pool employee wins photo contest – holds party for co-workers

PEACE RIVER – A municipal pool employee will receive two prizes from her union for on the job photos taken at a ‘pirate party’ at the Peace Regional Pool.

Lorraine Witiw took a number of photos of her co-workers during a pirate party hosted by the pool for kids in the community.  When she heard her union, the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) was holding a photo contest, she submitted a few of the photos, winning two prizes worth a total of $650.

Witiw has decided to put the money towards a party for the pool staff.

Witiw will be presented with her certificates and prizes Tuesday, May 29th.  Media are welcome to attend.
