CUPE Local 37, City of Calgary reach agreement

CALGARY – The Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 37 has reached a tentative deal with the City of Calgary late today.

Union President Kevin Galley said “the union reached agreement with the City on wages and other issues”, and that the union would be recommending acceptance by the 3,000 ‘outside’ workers represented by CUPE 37.

Galley said “the union will not release details of the agreement until it is ratified by its members”, a process that he expects to be completed in the next two weeks.

“I’m pleased we were able to get a deal,” said Galley.
